Guided Wave Ultrasonic Testing
HTI provides Guided Wave Ultrasonic Testing (GWUT) using the Teletest Focus pipe inspection system. We can inspect above and underground pipelines from a single sensor position. In general, up to 60 meters can be tested from each position saving time and reducing costs.
Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing
HTI provides ultrasonic phased array testing to inspect welds of process equipment, piping, and structures. Ultrasonic phased arrays provide very reliable detection and sizing capabilities along with a permanent record of ultrasonic inspection.
Annular Plate Ultrasonic Tank Scan
Short Range Ultrasound (SRUT) inspection of the outer tank bottom annular ring plates provides a testing method that is sensitive to top and underside deterioration. It can access critical locations on the tank bottom annular plates while the tank is in service.
Remote Videoscopy Inspection
HTI provides Remote Videoscopy Inspection services for visual inspection of limited access areas such as heat exchanges, pressure vessels and piping.

Small Proximity Radiation Exposure (SPRE)
Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD)
HTI provides ultrasonic TOFD services to inspect welds of process vessels and piping. TOFD is a reliable and quickly advancing ultrasonic technique with good sizing capabilities and higher inspection speed.
MFL Tank Bottom Floor Testing
HTI provides you a quick and reliable inspection service by combining two techniques: Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) and Ultrasonic Testing. By using these two techniques the corrosion on the tank bottom floor can be detected and those corroded areas can be repaired as per API 653.
HTI also uses TesTex Falcon S series Saturated Low Frequency Eddy Current testing technique which can differentiate both top and bottom side flaws, even though coatings.
Corrosion Mapping RMS Scanner
HTI provides corrosion mapping for plant piping and equipments.
Utilizing a high-speed remote access corrosion mapping system (RMS Scanner) which does not require scaffolding to perform corrosion mapping on storage tanks, equipment, and piping.
The resolution can be set to 2×2, 5×5 or 10×10 mm. The system is capable to inspect from 4″
diameter to flat surfaces.
Exchanger Tube Inspection
HTI provides complete Head Exchanger inspection solutions for various tube materials using the following methods:
- Eddy Current Testing (ET) – for non-ferromagnetic
- Internal Rotary Inspection Systems (IRIS) – any material, accurate wall thickness
- Magnetic Flux Leakage Testing (MFLT) – for ferromagnetic and Finfan cooler
- Remote Field Eddy Current Testing (RFT) – for ferromagnetic
- Saturated Eddy Current Testing (ET) – for ferrous
Acoustic Emission Testing
HTI provides Acoustic Emission Testing to inspect storage tanks, spheres, etc.
Acoustic Emission (AE) tank inspection services are undertaken while the tank remains in service and provides the client the following economic benefits:
- Minimal pre-inspection tank
- Tanks that are not structurally deficient remain in
- Structurally deficient tanks are ranked in terms of damage and prioritized for

HTI provides ultrasonic shear wave inspection for welds inspection as well as Ultrasonic Longitudinal Wave Inspection to perform thickness measurement and corrosion scanning/mapping on the plant piping and pressure vessels as per the API 510 and API 570 etc.
HTI provides Penetrant Testing to detect surface and sub-surface imperfections in the welds and heat-affected zones of piping and process equipment.
HTI provides Radiography Testing services to inspect the welds of piping, pressure vessels and other process equipment on construction projects and plants.
Magnetic Particle Testing
HTI provides Magnetic Particle Testing services to detect surface and sub-surface imperfections in the welds and heat-affected zones of piping and process equipment. We also provide Magnetic Particle Testing on process equipment during plant shutdown to detect service cracks on the internal surface of vessels.
Positive Material Identification
HTI provides Positive Material Identification (PMI) services for construction projects to identify or sort the different types of material.
With PMI, the composition of materials in alloys can be accurately determined. It is particularly useful for high quality materials such as stainless steel and high alloy metals. While engineers push the boundaries of material capacity to the limit in their design, assurance that the proper material is used becomes of utmost importance.
HTI provides PMI with the XRF technology and OES for lighter elements like carbon.
